You would never drive a car using your rearview mirror as your point of reference...unless you are going backward, of course. (And we both know that's not where you're going!)
The best use of a rearview mirror is to glance **briefly** to gauge what's behind you so you can keep the best forward momentum. And get to where you want to go.
Look too long in the rearview mirror, and you're likely to hit a few bumps or wrecks in the road ahead.
It works the same way in your business.
Use your past like a rearview mirror to inform where you're going. Give it just a glance, though. Because if you look too long, well, you know how that story ends.
